The creation of Thales Communications & Security expands and intensifies the existing cooperation between Thales Communications and Thales Security Solutions & Services on such projects as the French defence ministry’s new headquarters at Balard in Paris, the Paris Metro Line 13 upgrade and the Mexico City urban security system.
With greater critical mass, a broader base of common and complementary customers, and improved competitive performance, Thales Communications & Security will be in a better position to capture new markets, both in France and internationally.
Through Thales Communications & Security, Thales is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy in secure information and communication systems for the global defence, security and ground transportation markets. In particular, the new company strengthens Thales’s position as a major world player in cybersecurity.
The overriding ambition is to meet the major challenges of customers around the world in each of the Group’s markets.
