David Whalley

David Whalley received his PhD in CS from the University of Virginia in 1990. He is a professor at Florida State University (FSU) and is the E.P. Miles professor of Computer Science and an FSU Distinguished Research Professor. He is also a Chalmers University of Technology Affiliated Professor.

His research interests include low-level compiler optimizations, predicting execution time, computer architecture, and embedded systems. Much of his recent research has been on developing techniques to support more energy efficient processors. His research is currently supported by the National Science Foundation.
