Virginia Niculescu

Virginia Niculescu is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at (UBB) “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca. She received her PhD in Computer Science (2002) from the same university. Among the topics taught by her are Parallel and Distributed Computing, High Performance Computing and Software Engineering. She coordinates UBB Research Center of Modeling, Optimization and Simulation -MOS, and the Master programme “High Performance Computing and Big Data Analytics”. Her research interests are focused mainly on models of parallel and distributed computing, scientific computation, and big data analytics.
