Laura Pozzi

Laura Pozzi joined the Faculty of Informatics, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) as Assistant Professor in 2005, and she is currently a Full Professor in the same institution. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Processor Architecture Laboratory of EPFL, a research engineer with STMicroelectronics and an Industrial Visitor at UC Berkeley. Laura holds an MS (1996) and a Ph.D. degree (2000) in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Her research interests include approximate computing, embedded processor customisation, compiler techniques for customisable processors, coarse-grain reconfigurable fabrics, high level synthesis and design space exploration. She is serving or has served in the Technical Program Committee of several international conferences in the field of Compilers, Architectures, Electronics Design Automation. Among them the International Conference on Compilers, Architecture and Software for Embedded Systems (CASES), the International Conference on Hardware-Software Co-design and System Synthesis (CODES), the Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference (DATE), the Design Automation Conference (DAC). She has served as Program Chair of CASES, and Topic Chair at DATE, among others. Laura is the recipient of the 40th IEEE Design Automation Conference (DAC) Best Paper Award.
