Jürgen Niehaus

Jürgen Niehaus studied Computer Science with focus on Computer Architecture at the University of Oldenburg in Germany. After working as a researcher and group leader in several Research Institutes and Universities, he became the CEO of the SafeTRANS competence network (since 2006), a non- profit organization which combines research and development expertise of German industrial and academic stakeholders in the area of complex Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems.

SafeTRANS is a member of ARTEMIS-IA, one of the three Industry Associations representing the private organizations within the ECSEL Joint Undertaking. Jürgen is a member of the ARTEMIS-IA Steering Baord and the ECSEL Governing Board, member of ARTEMIS-IA Working Groups ‚Strategic Research Agenda‘ and ‚Standardisation‘, member of the ECS SRIA Core-Team, and (Co-)Chapter-Lead for the „Architecture and Design: Methods and Tools“ chapter in the 2021’er version of the SRIA.
