Dimitrios Kritharidis

Dimitrios S. Kritharidis received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1988 and his MSc in Microprocessor Engineering and Digital Electronics from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), U.K. in 1989. After spending a year in Siemens Medical Division, in 1991 he joined INTRACOM, Athens, Greece, as an ASIC Designer. From 1993-2009 he led the IC Design activity in INTRACOM. He has designed numerous ASICs and FPGAs for Telecom Systems and introduced new technologies and design methodologies. He has been a member of the TPC and reviewer at DATE, the NASA/ESA Conference on Adaptive HW and Systems (AHS) and the International Symposium on Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC). His research interests are focused on 5G/6G networks, wireless systems, computing systems and reconfigurable architectures. He has managed the company’s participation in more than 15 EU and national research projects with participation in all phases of the H2020 5G PPP and “Beyond 5G” frameworks. Currently, he is leading the research activities of the Wireless Network Systems Business Division of the company.
