Mikel Azkarate-askasua (PhD in Computer Science TU-WIEN-Austria, Master in Embedded Systems ENSEIRB-France, Eng. in Electronics MU-Spain) has worked as a researcher in IK4-IKERLAN since 2008, where he leads a research team on real-time systems.
He coordinates the SAFEPOWER H2020 project and several other R&D activities on the implementation of embedded systems for control systems (power inverters, energy storage, etc.) on new execution environments, control system modeling (testing, hardware-in-the-loop, etc.) and functional-safety certification life-cycle (IEC-61508, etc.).
