Anastassios (Tassos) Nanos is a researcher in computer systems specializing in the low-level stack of hypervisors and lightweight runtimes. His work targets performance, scalability, energy-efficiency and security. He combines strong systems engineering experience with an academic approach and he frequently presents on topics such as unikernels, minimal VMs, hardware-assisted isolation, hardware acceleration for cloud-native environments, and orchestration-aware acceleration.
