HiPEAC

Alberto Scionti

I am currently a senior researcher at Fondazione LINKS in the Advanced Computing, Photonics and Electromagnetic (CPE) research unit. My main interests include: i) the development of advanced high-performance computing platforms, spanning from the design of CMP microarchitectures (based on innovative paradigms), to reconfigurable systems, to large scale and distributed infrastructures; ii) programming models and management software; iii) the application of artificial intelligence and evolutionary algorithms to the system design. I am co-author of more than 75 publications in peer reviewed conferences, journals and book chapters. Since May 2011, I am an HiPEAC member. I actively participated in many EU funded projects, and I successfully led work packages. Past experiences include the position in the Department of Computer Engineering at Università degli Studi di Siena as an assistant professor, research activities in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, collaboration with Ansaldo-STS and collaboration projects with European institutions such as the TUDelft in Delft (Netherlands) and the UPC in Barcellona (Spain).
