Ana Cortés is a full professor in the Computer Architecture and Operating Systems department at UAB, where she is the leader of the High performance Computing Applications for Science and Engineering (HPCA4SE) research group. Her current research interests concern performance engineering of high performance computing environmental sciences applications such as forest fire spread simulation and risk assessment of extreme weather events.
