Launch of Ximplic Evaluations

Ximplic Evaluations allows customers to evaluate its computing in memory (CiM) artificial intelligence (AI) inference technology before committing to hardware.

Ximplic logo Based in Groningen, Ximplic is a startup licensing artificial intelligence (AI) inference intellectual property (IP) based on compute-in-memory (CiM) architectures. Ximplic was founded to reduce data movement in semiconductor architectures and thereby improve efficiency, reduce latency and improve overall system performance.

The company has now launched Ximplic Evaluations, which allows customers to evaluate the companies CiM AI inference technology before committing to hardware. According to Ximplic, the evaluation comflow allows designers to run AI models on a virtual representation of the Ximplic architecture, estimate power and efficiency early in the design process, and explore how CiM can reduce data movement.

Ximplic was co-founded by HiPEAC member Farhad Merchant and Simranjeet Singh. The company won a HiPEAC Technology Transfer Award in 2025 for commercializing technology developed by the two researchers.
