Collaborative Development Framework for Electric Software-defined Vehicles

The automotive industry is facing challenges in developing electric vehicles that are efficient and adaptable to new technologies. The integration of software and hardware needs to be streamlined. Additionally, improving the design, testing, and production processes is crucial. There is also a need for vehicles to perform reliably over time. The EU-funded CODE4EV project will create a framework that helps produce and operate software-defined electric vehicles (SDVs). It focuses on developing digital tools, improving SDV components, and accelerating validation processes. CODE4EV will optimise vehicle performance, reduce energy consumption, and extend the lifespan of vehicle components. The project will also develop demonstrators for various types of electric vehicles, ensuring scalability and efficiency in the transition to zero-emission mobility.
