Electric vehicles (EVs) are at the forefront of reducing emissions. However, current digital twin models for EVs still fall short of representing the complex realities of vehicle performance, often oversimplifying critical factors. Each vehicle, with its unique combination of hardware, software, and usage history, presents specific challenges. Addressing these complexities is key to optimising performance, energy consumption, and safety. In this context, the EU-funded TWIN-LOOP project leverages high-performance computing, cloud technology, and SDV architecture to create a digital twin framework for EVs. It aims to continuously improve energy efficiency, driver experience, and vehicle resilience. By integrating fleet data and digital models, TWIN-LOOP offers a comprehensive solution, fostering industry collaboration to ensure future innovation and market acceptance.
