The impacts of climate and social changes are all around us, from violent weather phenomena like floods to polluted air in urban agglomerations. Global challenges tackle these dilemmas by means of interdisciplinary approach and HPC infrastructure. The EU-funded HiDALGO2 project explores synergies between modelling, data acquisition, simulation, data analysis and visualisation. It will also efficiently utilize of current and future high-performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructures to develop highly scalable solutions. In particular, the project focuses on the best solutions by adapting the software to the infrastructure (co-design) and assessing the quality of solutions using uncertainty analysis. HiDALGO2 will actively contribute to the EU user communities by addressing the skills gap and sharing knowledge under organised specialised workflows and training.
