Extent of employment:

  • 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your responsibilities:

  • PhD in the field of high-performance computing
  • Independent research in the field of high-performance computing (HPC)
  • Independent teaching
  • Student supervision
  • Training and professional development
  • Organisational and administrative duties

Your profile:

  • A completed diploma degree or masters degree in computer science or related fields
  • Knowledge of HPC and very good programming skills in C++
  • Experience with GPU programming and data-intensive workloads is an advantage
  • Very good command of English
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage (for undergraduate courses)
  • Please include a written proposal for your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Leadership and communication skills in student support
