HiPEAC

Membership

HiPEAC is always open to new members from academia and industry. HiPEAC membership is FREE and keeps you informed, supported and connected throughout your career.

HiPEAC offers free membership to individuals from academia and industry across Europe and countries associated to Horizon Europe. Becoming a member connects you to a vibrant community, providing support and keeping you informed throughout your career.

Who can join?

HiPEAC membership is primarily for senior researchers in academia and professionals in industry. Academic applicants generally need an h-index of 10 or higher. However, this threshold doesn’t apply to those from new EU member states, EU candidate states, or individuals with a proven track record in academia-to-industry technology transfer that meets HiPEAC Tech Transfer Award criteria. If your h-index is lower, you might still join as an “affiliated member” through an existing full member at your institution. For industry applicants, the h-index requirement is waived; you simply need to represent a company. PhD students can become affiliated members if their supervisor is already a full HiPEAC member; their supervisor should email [email protected] to facilitate this.

Member Charter: your role in the community

As a HiPEAC member, you’re expected to maintain a public HiPEAC profile, join the Members mailing list, and list your PhD students on the HiPEAC website. Beyond these administrative points, active participation is key. Academic members are asked to attend one HiPEAC event annually, either personally or by sending their PhD students or affiliated members. Industry members have a choice of annual contributions: proposing at least one 3-month internship for HiPEAC PhD students, participating in the HiPEAC conference exhibition, or joining the HiPEAC Industry Partner Program.

How to apply

To apply, simply send a message to [email protected] with some details about yourself and your motivations for joining; a short CV is optional but welcomed. Academic applicants should include brief research details and their h-index. Please be aware that the application process typically takes around four weeks.
