Title
Software programming environment for neuromorphic accelerator

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in computer science. Expertise in either optimization algorithms, or FPGA place & route algorithms is particularly appreciated.

This post-doc position is part of the Arch²Neu project, funded by the French National Research Agency. This project aims at investigating the potential of neuromorphic architectures for computing purposes, and particularly for signal-processing applications.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant (pre-doctoral but must be close to completing a PhD) or a Research Associate (post-doctoral) to work on the European Union project CARP (Correct and Efficient Accelerator Programming).

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chalmers has 76 faculty members and enrolls about 70 PhD students from more than 30 countries. The research spans the whole spectrum, from theoretical underpinnings to applied systems development. There is extensive national and international collaboration with academia and industry all around the world.

We are looking for a Postdoc with strong background and interst in several of the following topics:

• application development and runtime environments for multi-core parallel architectures
• program analysis and optimization for parallel systems
• programming languages and methods for multiprocessor architectures
• performance analysis and debugging for parallel programs

Duration of contract: 6 years with the opportunity for habilitation.

The work will be done as part of the Insieme parallelizing and optimizing compiler for OpenMP, MPI and OpenCL.

Position: SSL1102 Postdoctoral Researcher in Multi-Core Performance
Duration: Up to three years and nine months
Location: Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

Research: Multi-core processors aim to provide better performance
within a limited power budget. As the number of cores increases, the
number of interactions between threads and the amount of performance
data that can be measured rises rapidly.

We are looking for a post-doc candidate with strong background in computer science/compilation. Research topics are closely related to application mapping, accelerators, neuromorphic hardware, signal processing.
