High-Level Synthesis for designing fault tolerant architectures on FPGA

in

The Lab-STICC laboratory and the CEA have an opening for a Ph.D. student in the area of system-level (embedded) system architecture design.

The candidate will have to propose radiation fault models from case studies and measurements on FPGA in a strongly disturbed environment.
From these models, mechanisms of tolerance to the faults, at the logical, algorithmic and system levels will be developed. These mechanisms will be integrated in a design approach of faults tolerant architectures based on the synthesis high-level.

High level synthesis for circuit generation that supports software like debugging

in

The Lab-STICC laboratory has an opening for a Ph.D. student in the area of system-level (embedded) system architecture design. The thesis aims at providing debugging capabilities to circuits that are automatically generated out of high level specifications. The considered approach lies in proposing a method, that will support defining a model for target architectures while implementing a computer aided design (CAD) tool for high-level synthesis.

Funded PhD studentships at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

in

Applications are invited for PhD studentships at the Software Systems Lab at Trinity College Dublin (TCD).

The research is in collaboration with IBM Research, working on the IBM PowerEN multi-core processor. The research will be in the area of software for multi-core and many-core computing. The research deals
with compilers, software tools and program generation aimed at networking and network traffic analysis.
