Universiteit Gent coördineert Europees onderzoek rond computersystemenSource: IT Professional: http://www.itprofessional.be/news.cfm?id=79876 (February 7, 2008) HiPEAC-project krijgt nieuwe financiering en meer uitgebreide opdrachtHet HiPEAC-project zal de komende vier jaar het onderzoek rond chip- en compilertechnologie in Europa coördineren en stimuleren. Het beschikt daarvoor over een totaal budget van 4,8 miljoen euro. Volgens coördinator Prof. Koen De Bosschere van de Universiteit Gent moet Europa zijn sterke positie in ingebedde technologie veilig stellen en uitbreiden naar andere systemen.
