URGENT:

has been shortened to a half-day morning tutorial.

If you are interested in
- GPU programming models,
- stream computing,
- OpenMP extensions,
- research and development with GCC,
- automatic parallelization,
- polyhedral model,
please consider attending both tutorials!

EARLY REGISTRATION ENDS MAY 10.

ICS 2009 registration is now open at
http://www.ics-conference.org/registration.html with reduced early
registration rates for workshops, tutorials and the technical
conference available until May 10, 2009.

We are also inviting you to submit papers to the ICS workshops. In
particular, submission is still open for

* APGAS: Asynchrony in the PGAS Programming Model
Please see the APGAS workshop website http://research.ihost.com/apgas09/
for more information on submitting to the APGAS workshop.

* WAHA: Accelerators for High-performance Architectures
Please see the WAHA workshop website http://research.ihost.com/waha2009/

ACM has negotiated a reduced rate for ICS'09 conference
attendees at the Westchester Marriott, one of Westchester
County's finest hotels and within easy reach of the TJ Watson
Research Center. The rate will be available from June 5, 2009
through June 15, 2009. Rooms at the conference rate can be booked
either by calling 1-800-882-1042 and referencing the ICS 2009
group rate, or they may be booked online at
www.westchestermarriott.com and entering the group code
ICSICSA. The deadline for reservations at the conference rate is
May 8, 2009.

The technical conference (June 9-June 11) will include 3 keynote
presentations by supercomputing experts from representing academic
and industrial researchers who have ample experience in designing,
owning and operating large system installations:
* Prof. Mateo Valero, Director, Barcelona Supercomputer Center BCS-CNS
and Professor, Universitat Polytecnica de Catalunya
* Dr. Don Grice, IBM Distinguished Engineer, Roadrunner Chief Engineer
* Dr. Ian Foster, Director, Computation Institute, Argonne National Lab

This year, ICS has added a panel session to give researchers
additional opportunities for interaction and discussion, and to
highlight new and emerging ideas. In addition to the technical
conference held from Tuesday, June 9 to Thursday, June 11, this year's
program will include two days of workshops and tutorials on Monday,
June 8 and Friday, June 12. A special discounted workshop and
tutorial fee is offered to participants of the technical conference.

In 2009, several workshops will be co-located with ICS 2009:

* APGAS: Asynchrony in the PGAS Programming Model
* WAHA: Accelerators for High-performance Architectures
* FastOS: Forum to Address Scalable Technology for runtime and
           Operating Systems

In addition, eight tutorials will be offered to attendees of ICS 2009:

* A Practical Approach to Performance Analysis & Modeling of Large-scale
Systems
* Cetus: A Source-to-Source Compiler Infrastructure for Multi-cores
* Tools for Scalable Performance Analysis on Petascale Systems
* Security and VO Management in Grids
* Embedded Streaming: Parallel Programming, Optimizations and Tools
