1st Workshop on the Design for Reliability
(DFR’09)
http://www.eng.ucy.ac.cy/theocharides/dfr09/
In conjunction with the 4th International Hipeac conference.
Paphos, Cyprus, January 25, 2009
Preliminary Program and Call for Participation
Scope
To stimulate interest in an emerging and challenging issue by bringing
together researchers from various areas (design, verification, test,
architecture, fault tolerance and reliability) to share ideas and ferment
future research in holistic approaches for reliable next-generation
computing systems. This year’s inaugural workshop features six papers
covering several of the aforementioned issues, through which we hope to
raise interesting and proactive discussions among the attendees. Papers
address topics in micro-architectural level and software level techniques
for transient error detection, software-based self-test of chip
multiprocessors, fault-tolerance in future technologies, and
reliability-aware energy management. The program also includes a Keynote
Speech by Prof. Mary Jane Irwin, Evan Pugh Professor and A. Robert Noll
Chair in Engineering in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
at Penn State University, USA.
