PACT 2008 Call for Tutorial & Workshop Proposals
17th International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation
Techniques (PACT)
Toronto, CANADA, October 25-29, 2008

Tutorial & Workshop Proposal Deadline: 9PM Pacific Time, Friday, April
4th.

We solicit proposals for tutorials and workshops related to all
aspects of
computer architecture and compilers, both general-purpose and embedded,
with an emphasis on performance. See previous PACT conferences
(http://www.pactconf.org) for example tutorials and workshops. Please
submit your proposal of no more than two pages on or before the deadline
above.

Please send tutorial and workshop proposals to the PACT 2008 Tutorial
and
Workshop Chair, Babak Falsafi (babak at cmu.edu).

For workshop proposals, please include:

   * title of the workshop,
   * organizers and their affiliations,
   * sample call for papers, including the workshop's main topics,
   * expected duration of the workshop, i.e., 1/2 day or full day,
   * expected number of published papers and attendees,
   * if the workshop was previously held, the number of published
papers and
     attendees at the last workshop.

For tutorial proposals, please include:

   * title of the tutorial,
   * organizers and their affiliations,
   * abstract and outline of tutorial content,
   * expected duration of the tutorial, i.e., 1/2 day or full day,
   * target audience and expected number of attendees,
   * short biography of each speaker/organizer.
