[HiPEAC-announce] 3 postdoc/engineer positions at INRIA (Paris)

The Alchemy group at INRIA Saclay - Île-de-France
(http://alchemy.futurs.inria.fr) is involved in multiple research
projects, in collaboration with some of the best European and
international academic and industrial partners.

We are looking for three (3) excellent engineers or postdocs with a
strong experience in optimizing compilation, processor architecture or
parallel programming.

The positions are open immediately and for 12 months, with possible
extensions. The work will be located at INRIA Saclay, with frequent
and/or long-term stays in partner sites. Both junior and expert engineer
are welcome, as well as PhD graduates looking for further experience and
participation to the group's research and publications.

- Engineer/postdoc to work on parallel programming support in the GNU
  Compiler Collection (GCC). Prior experience with a large-scale
  optimizing compiler is expected. This position is associated with the
  HiPEAC European network of excellence (http://www.hipeac.net), in
  collaboration with UPC (Barcelona), Stanford University, Intel (Santa
  Clara and Haifa) and HP Labs (Palo Alto and Barcelona).

- Engineer/postdoc to work on global, whole-program optimization in GCC,
  involving machine learning and feedback-directed compilation. This
  position is associated with the GGCC (http://www.ggcc.info) and
  Milepost (http://www.milepost.eu) European projects, in collaboration
  with the U. of Edinburgh, CEA, IBM Haifa and others.

- Engineer to port GCC to an embedded SIMD accelerator for video and
  signal processing. Opens to a PhD thesis in fine grain
  parallelization and stream computing. This position is associated with
  the Ter at ops project (http://teraops-emb.ief.u-psud.fr), in
  collaboration with Thales R&D, Thales Optronique and Thomson R&D.

Salaries are competitive and depend on experience and situation.
