Dr. Pankratius heads the young investigator "Software Engineering for
Multicore Systems" group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
He serves as the elected chairman of the "Software Engineering for parallel
Systems" international working group in the German Computer Science Society.
Dr. Pankratius' current research concentrates on how to make parallel
programming easier for the average programmer. His work on multicore
software engineering covers a range of research topics including empirical
studies, auto-tuning, language design, and debugging. He served as a
reviewer in many international conferences and journals, and co-organized

My motivation to join the HiPEAC network:
- Exchange ideas and advance the state of the art in multicore programming,
operating systems, and software engineering tools
- Network with other researchers and participate in meetings
- Find potential partners for joint publications and grant applications
(e.g., EU grants)
- Participate in exchange programs (e.g., sabbaticals, internships)

It would be great to become part of HiPEAC. I already receive the newsletter
and follow the messages on the mailing list, and would like to get involved
more closely. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any other
information.
