Description

Israel R&D Center is looking for a researcher in the field of computer vision and machine learning. You will join a research team developing the state of the art algorithms for face and object recognition in images and video in collaboration with top researchers across Microsoft Research. The developed algorithms will form the technological foundation for next generations of various Microsoft products. The job includes solving algorithmic problems, implementing your solutions and publishing papers.

Required qualifications:
- PhD or MSc in machine learning and/or computer vision or related topics
- Strong theory/algorithm background and very good understanding on how to apply advanced knowledge to solve problems
- Solid Programming skills and good grasp of tools used in the particular research discipline
- Experience with Matlab and/or in object oriented software design and development (C++ / C# / Java)
- Research background in some of the following fields: object recognition, face detection and recognition (images or video), object/face tracking, scene recognition, supervised and unsupervised learning
