STMicroelectronics develop optimized solutions for
embedding complete web browsing engines including both
Javascript virtual machine technologies and Adobe Flash(R)
execution environment for valuable user experience on
TV and Set-Top-Box devices.

The Compilation Expertise Center at STMicroelectronics, Grenoble
is looking for improving the existing ActionScript and JavaScript virtual
machines to include new technologies developed with academic
partners in the field of Just-In-Time (JIT) code optimization
and Trace Compilation.

Fields of research are dynamic compilation, split compilation,
code specialization and speculation, binary translation and
fast interpreters.

The development will contribute to the ST40/SH4 and ARM Cortex A9
based STMicroelectronics SoCs, to the Adobe Flash(R) Player
project as well as open source projects such as Webkit,
Tamarin and Firefox.
