Application suite: HiPEAC-PARADOX
The HiPEAC Parallel Applications Repository for Research And Development of Computer Systems, or HiPEAC-PARADOX, is a collaborative effort to build a suite of parallel applications that will serve researchers in all disciplines involved in the design of computing systems.
The suite currently contains two HPC applications:
- WRF Weather Research and Forecasting Model, supporting 4 programming models: serial, OpenMP, MPI, and MPI+OpenMP.
- NAMD Scalable Molecular Dynamics, supporting 3 programming models: serial, Charm++/PThreads, and MPI.
This is a preliminary release of version v1.0, made public to other members of the Task-Force on Applications. The purpose of this release is to get feedback on the build/run infrastructure, and start collecting applications from the different HiPEAC disciplines.
Getting HiPEAC-PARADOX consists of three stages:
1. Checkout the basic infrastructure from the svn server:
svn co http://www.hipeac.net/hipeacsvn/all_hipeac/hipeac_paradox/tags/v1.0b
(login using your HiPEAC website username and password)
2. Download the archive containing the input datasets from [...]
3. Download the source codes of the applications themselves.
This cannot be re-distributed by HiPEAC because of licensing issues, and should
therefore be downloaded directly from the websites of the different applications,
listed in Section 5.1 in the suite's document (page 8).
The document is in the doc/ directory checked out in stage 1.
You can also used the direct link to the repository:
http://www.hipeac.net/hipeacsvn/all_hipeac/hipeac_paradox/tags/v1.0b/doc/hipeac-paradox.pdf.
Now, follow the build instructions in the README file...
