FlexibleDescription
The proposed project is to evaluate the ARM architecture for ultra-low-power wireless sensor networks. The project is aimed at 1) identifying the requirements of wireless sensor network applications and their characteristics, 2) evaluating ARM architecture, such as ARM Cortex-M0, for sensor network applications, and 3) system-level ultra low power design with ARM processors for wireless sensor networks.
The ideal candidate would have a good background in embedded processors architecture and microarchitecture, knowledge of mixed-signal designs is useful, especially knowledge in RF transceiver design, experience of networked sensor platform system architecture would be advantageous.
