Users account

To register on the website go to the register page. Each registered user on the website has a personal account which is accessible by clicking on his user name (e.g in the member list). You can access and modify yours by clicking on the link My account on the left-top of the website.

Each account has four tabs:

• View contains the information about the user, some fields are publicly visible and some of them are only visible for the owner of the account and the administators of the website.

• Edit is only visible for your personal account. You can use it to modify your account information.

• Publications With this tab, you can see all your publications in our database. (if you are affiliated to a HiPEAC institution)

• Track With this tab, you can see all your posts.

• Contact is only visible when you are logged in, use this tab to contact a person.

Modify your account infomation by using your edit tab:

There are four categories or tabs that your can use to modify your account:

• Account settings this part contains all the website related settings:
  • Account information Your username, email and password
  • You can upload a picture of you if you want (can be nice if you are part of a group)
  • Block configuration you can chose wich block you want to appear in the margins of the website
  • Comment Signature optional if you use the comments
  • Organic groups settings options for the groups see help on groups
  • Contact settings allow people to contact you through the website
  • Local settings here you can configure your time zone

• Personal Information enter all your personal information
  • The Motivation field is use when your register on the website, to give you the appropriate access rights. If you are a member, just put "HiPEAC member".
  • Note that the postal information ise used to send you the newsletter if you have rights to it (e.g you are a member, affiliate member or HiPEAC student). Make sure they are correct in order to receive it and don't forget to mention your country!
  • Note that not all the fields are shown publicly.

• Research in this tab you can enter the information related to your research
  • Select your institution, if not listed please contact klaas@hipeac.net
  • Note that for the members, the links to the publication databases will be used for the technical reports.
  • It can also be usefull to add a link to your CV.

• Research Group
  • For Phds and colleagues: use this form to select or change your advisor. Note that each time you change your advisor by this form, the advisor receives a mail to confirm your relationship. If you receive an access denied message for this page, please contact the webmaster.
