Description

Topic: TriMedia is NXP’s VLIW platform. Currently, an effort is ongoing inside NXP to port GCC to the TriMedia. Experiments have already shown that the scheduler misses many opportunities for optimizations because of the relatively weak alias analysis in GCC. Specific improvements in alias analysis are therefore required in GCC.

Skills required: In-depth knowledge of GCC4, especially on alias analysis, understanding of VLIW architectures.
