Contribution Guidelines
The writing style is different from scientific papers. Please check previous newsletter issues for some examples. The newsletter is available online at http://www.hipeac.net/newsletter. Special restrictions apply to contributions on collaborations grants, trip reports, and PhD news columns.
PhD News
The editorial board has decided to transform the "PhD news" section of previous newsletter issues into a more attractive reading, whose main purpose is to give recently graduated students a place to present themselves and their work to the rest of the HiPEAC community (particularly for those seeking future employment opportunities). We are thus trying to move away from "paper-style" abstracts, and instead we encourage students to provide a high-level description of their work, areas of expertise and interests, while trying to avoid as much as possible stepping into specifics. To make this section more appealing to potential employers, a personal photo is highly recommended, as well as a web link where further information and contact details can be found.
Figures
Photos and figures are very much appreciated since they make the newsletter more attractive for readers. However, there are special requirements to the quality of pictures: they must have sufficiently high resolution (around 300 dpi);
Special Comments
If possible, do not include citations and references to your papers in the text as the newsletter has a magazine rather than a scientific style. You can put web links to sites with more information if required.
