HiPEAC 2009: Home

Registration closed.

The HiPEAC conference provides a high quality forum for computer architects and compiler builders working in the field of high performance computer architecture and compilation for embedded systems, but is also open to general purpose research which is becoming increasingly relevant to the embedded domain. The conference aims at the dissemination of advanced scientific knowledge and the promotion of international contacts among scientists from academia and industry.

The 4th HiPEAC conference will take place in Paphos on the eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus during January 25-28, 2009. Paphos is a UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its exquisite mosaics, the underground Tombs of the Kings, and many other archaeological sites. Paphos' picturesque harbour with its medieval fort and seaside cafes is another major attraction for visitors to Cyprus. The offerings of this conference are rich and diverse. The conference includes two keynote speeches, Kathryn O'Brien from IBM Research presenting the view from a major industry player, and Francois Bodin from CAPS-Enterprise presenting the view of a start-up.

The conference program is rich and features papers on many important and timely topics such as multi-core processors, reconfigurable systems, compiler optimization, power-aware techniques and more. Also, we offer attendees a set of seven workshops on the topics of: multi-cores, simulation and performance evaluation, compiler optimizations, design reliability, reconfigurable computing, and interconnection networks. Additionally, a tutorial on reliability is offered by Joel Emer and Shubu Mukherjee of Intel.
