The HiPEAC network of excellence is funding several company internships in 2007. The objective of this initiative is to increase the joint research between industry and academia in Europe. During such an internship, a PhD student will work on industry-relevant topics, in the company itself.
The research topics will be selected by the companies, and they will be formally presented at an internship meeting during the HiPEAC 2007 conference. All students interested in an internship are invited to attend the meeting. There will be time to interact with the company representatives. The formal decision on the internships will be taken early 2007.
The internships are expected to occur during the summer of 2007, but the precise time frame can be discussed with the companies.
