By taxy
Pisa Radio Taxi: tel.+39 050 541 600 The taxis in Pisa are run by a consortium and there is just one number for all the taxis in the City. The cabs typically stand at the train station, airport and piazza Arcivescovado (near the tower).
By bus
Main bus service in Pisa consists of three bus lines:
- Red LAM or LAM Rossa Bus(connecting main station to leaning tower)
- Blue LAM or LAM Blu Bus (connecting main station to the conference venue, Palazzo dei Congressi)
- Green LAM or LAM Verde Bus.
By car
Most car rental companies are based at the Pisa Airport. Italian cars normally are manual-shift. You can find driving maps with decent Italy coverage at Google, Mapquest, Yahoo (in Italian) and possibly more. Note that most of the city center either is a pedestrian zone or has restricted car access (with surveillance cams), which makes cars most viable for travelling outside Pisa.
